Bringing Home Your Puppy

We highly recommend you crate train your puppy.  Crate training maintains safety for your puppy and affords peace of mind for you.  It also assists in housebreaking and allows your puppy to travel with you easily and safely.  In addition to purchasing a medium sized crate (at maturity your Pom should be able to stand up and turn around), we will provide you with a few puppy pads (unscented always) to assist in housebreaking, and some of the puppy food your puppy has been eating so that you can make the transition to your choice of food easily.  Instead of buying puppy pads from the pet stores, we purchase Underpads at Sam's.  They're in the pharmaceutical section and are the pads used on hospital beds.  They're larger, much more absorbant and far less expensive.

A cuddly toy also makes the transition easier for your puppy and you.  Remember puppies should not be held 24/7 as they can become dehydrated.  If you have children in your home, please let us know so that we can advise you regarding the interaction between the children and your new addition.  We do not sell our Poms to anyone with children under the age of six.  This is purely for the puppy's safety.  Poms and children get along just fine.  Just need to pass on tips to keep the puppy safe.

We want your new puppy experience to be the best it can be when adding one of our babies to your household.  Therefore, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
